Point to Point’s Vision, Mission & Values embody who we are, what we do and where we’re going in the future. Our Vision is a statement of what we want to become and our Strategy defines how we will get there.

Mission

The mission of Point to Point is to improve the standard of living in South Africa by

• promoting enhanced agricultural productivity and increased farm household incomes.
• ensuring year-round availability of affordable safe and nutritious food.
• creating jobs for rural and urban youth.
• Production of fortified foods for vulnerable groups in society.
• Reduce importation of similar or foreign foods and conserve foreign exchange

Our Values define our culture – they guide how we behave, the decisions we make and the relationships we have with each other, our customers and external stakeholders.

Sustainability

1. BBBEE and Transformation

 Point to Point is 100% black-owned and we are a level one BBBEE contributor.  We are committed to empowering black people through skills development programs and community development programs.

2. Innovation

Innovation, integration, and partnership are the foundations on which we are pioneering the future with customers at the heart of all that we do.  We constantly look for better ways to make our products and services more efficient and cost-effective.  We keep ourselves abreast with the latest technologies and method to provide the highest quality possible to our customers.

3. Health & Safety

We have adopted a zero-tolerance principal and we say that any job not done safely is not worth doing.  In our organization safety is the responsibility of every individual.  We, therefore, ensure that we equip all our employees with the required knowledge and safety skills to enable them to an actively participate in safety and carry out their work in a safe manner.

Our zero-harm strategy fosters safe attitudes and behaviours in our employees, management and contractors.  We have set ourselves a target of zero recordable safety incidents annually and we promote this culture through rewards and recognitions amongst departments and individual

Point to Point strives to maintain the highest possible standard of health and safety in the workplace. We are WFSO ISO 22000, ISO 22000 encompassing the HACCP principles.

4. Communities

Point to Point is heavily involved in supporting local communities. As a significant contributor to the agricultural sector, Point to Point recognizes that the adoption of sound environmental management practices and sustainable business operations are important.

Point to Point encourages staff to participate in charity causes and events. Each year Point to Point hosts a charity family day as its signature charity event for distribution of funds to local communities. Some of our flagship charity causes include distribution of school uniforms and books to underprivileged children, sponsorship of junior soccer clubs, and community skills development programs.

At Point to Point we place high importance on the effects of our activities on the environment in which we operate.  We always ensure that we minimize adverse impact to the environment and return the environment to its original or better state than we found it.  Point to Point also supports its employees taking part in small and large-scale sustainability initiatives both within the company and in the broader community.
